Brian Freq
Brian has always been passionate about electronic music and got decks in '97 with no intent of ever becoming a DJ. Obvious talent, a passion for house music in all its forms and a network of friends with great party venues soon led to regular outdoor and indoor party gigs before he took the plunge and started promoting his own club nights.
Amongst his many DJ credits Brian has held residencies at Wild Life (Ice Factory, Perth), Zap (Foundation, Dundee), Kujah (Reading Rooms, Dundee) and most recently Freq (Sub Club, Glasgow).
Freq launched at the Soundhaus and a series of successful nights led to a residency at the world renowned Sub Club with the night going on to become one of the most popular parties for Friday night regulars in Glasgow. Bringing guests of such calibre as acid house legends Hardfloor, Detroit techno pioneer Daniel Bell and Ninja Tune's sub bass monsters Zero dB set Freq apart as promoters and the strength of the resident team of Brian & Murray ensured the club's popularity amongst the most fickle of audiences. They were even drafted in to man the decks at the legendary Subculture night whilst residents Harri & Domenic took a holiday.
Brian likes to play anything from deep house to dancefloor techno and describes his Freq style as Tech-Housey Machine Funk.
